As much as I absolutely love helping women birth and witnessing babies be born as a doula, one of my other favourite things is watching men embrace their roles as birth support partners, become awestruck by the power that their women embody to birth their babies, and then become fathers. I am always humbled by the emotion that even the toughest of men can barely contain. So when I am honoured with the role of birth photographer, capturing the men catching their babies, their reaction to the birth, and/or getting some skin to skin with their babies, it brings me such joy to know that I am helping complete the picture of the magnitude of such a life changing event.
